The World Armwrestling Federation (WAF) would like to officially invite you as WAF Member country to attend the 41st World Armwrestling and 22nd World Para-Armwrestling Championships, which will be held in Constanta – Romania, from October 26th to November 4th, 2019, under the patronage of the Alliance of Independent recognized Members of Sport (AIMS) and United Through Sport.
All Finals and seniors Semi-Finals will be live broadcasted on TV, available for all WAF Members media partners. Complete championships(preliminaries, semi-finals and finals) will be live streamed on the Olympic Channel platform and WAF YouTube Channel.
The Association is prepared to receive more than 1.500 competitors, officials and supporters from over 50 participating countries.
Passport/Visa Requirements
You must have a U.S. passport that is valid for at least three months beyond your departure date from Romania. U.S. citizens may enter and remain in Romania without a visa for up to 90 days total in any 180-day period.

Hotel Accommodations
Athletes must stay at the host hotels and book their hotel accommodations with the USAF, see below, full payment of your hotel costs must be received by the USAF no later than Sept 15, 2019. ATHLETES MUST BOOK THEIR HOTELS DIRECTLY WITH THE USAF TO BE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE.

The WAF hotel costs are originally calculated in Euros, however for this year the WAF is requiring the USAF to submit one consolidated request and payment for hotel rooms to the WAF for all of its athletes and guests. The above table has been converted to USD based upon the annual average value of the Euro to USD, inclusive of the costs of converting USD to Euros. This table above shows you what it will cost for the number of nights stay from 4 days and beyond based upon the amount of people in the room. For example, the Malibu hotel for 4 nights for 1 person is $405 total. The same hotel for 4 nights for 2 people is $486 total. Athletes sharing rooms will need to work out room costs amongst themselves and submit one registration and payment to the USAF using the below hotel registration form, once we have received your hotel request you will receive a contact with instructions on how to make the payment to the USAF. The final total payment must be received in full by the USAF no later than Sept 15, 2019.

USAF recommends flying into this hotel as flights to the Constanta Airport are limited.
Please plan to arrive the day before your weigh in. Be careful to notice that many flights are overnight and arrive the next day (+1 day).

30 Minutes to Venue and Hotels. Arrivals from Istanbul or London Luton Airports, however, fights are not available daily.
Airport Transfer
Welcome Service will be provided upon arrival at Bucharest or at Constanta International Airports based on the bookings.
The teams will be met by their welcome desk team and volunteers with the logo of the championships.
Operating hours are from Saturday 26 October to Monday 4 November from 7:00 to 22:00. After collecting luggage, team members will be escorted to the official buses by the welcome desk staff and taken to the official hotels.
The transfer time from the airport to the official hotels is approximately 30 minutes from Constanta and 3 hours from Bucharest. Returning transfers must be re-confirmed 2 days before departure.
Transfers from the airport to the official hotels and return are available only by booking at the price of 20 € per person round-trip. Please book your transfer at worlds2019@waf-armwrestling.com and provide the following details: airport, date and time of arrival / departure, flight number and origin airport before 15th of October 2019.
For transfers booked after 15th of October 2019 or outside of operating days/hours the price is 50 € per person round-trip.
